Invest more resources in environmental conservation

MY TAKE.

In their manifestos am not hearing how they will conserve the environment; issues, like increasing tree cover, fighting plastic pollution, improving waste management, and addressing impacts of climate change, aren’t significantly being featured….will these very important life issues be neglected and put aside as they have in previous years? Somebody once told me, that the government is run largely by politicians who would rather direct more resources into building hospitals, roads, schools, and other ‘things’ mwananchi can see, than investing in environmental conservation.

If we conserved our environment, fixed waste management, and ensured there is less pollution we would have fewer visits to the hospitals, and more people would be busy growing the economy. This should be I’d be a wake-up call to our leaders to put more focus on environmental conservation.
